Huangpu sets up historical, cultural development institute

The Huangpu District Historical and Cultural Inheritance and Development Research Institute was set up in Guangzhou's Huangpu district on June 9.

A promotional video on Lingnan culture research in the Huangpu district was released on site.

Huangpu is rich in historical relics. At present, it boasts 701 ancient relics in 10 categories, including ancient trees, villages, houses, temples, alleys, roads, pagodas, walls, bridges, and docks.

The research institute will be committed to the in-depth exploration and research of Huangpu's characteristic culture, such as Maritime Silk Road culture and military academy culture. It will also promote the protection and inheritance of Huangpu's history and culture.
