The Guangzhou National Demonstration Base on the Integration of Culture and Technology puts on a dazzling light show.
The Guangzhou National Demonstration Base on the Integration of Culture and Technology based in Guangzhou's Huangpu district was recently rated as excellent in a performance evaluation on the first three batches of national bases in the sector, local media outlets reported on April 13.
The result was released by the Ministry of Science and Technology, as well as the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, with only four out of the total 55 units rated as excellent, the highest possible rating.
The base in Huangpu was named as a national one in 2013 and has made many achievements in nearly 10 years of development, such as helping two local companies win national recognition in the sector.
In recent years, Huangpu has made full use of development opportunities in the creative and cultural industry. It has advanced the establishment of a cultural and technological innovation system with companies as its main body and the market as its orientation.
The district has released a series of preferential policies to support the development of the creative and cultural industry in sectors spanning companies' settling, platform establishment, as well as brand rewarding. To date, 18 projects have benefited from these policies.
