140 Huangpu projects to be prioritized by Guangzhou in 2022

A total of 140 projects from Huangpu district were listed as Guangzhou's key projects in 2022. These projects have a total investment of 800 billion yuan ($126.32 billion).

Guangzhou will specifically prioritize the construction of 650 key projects this year, 91 of which are in Huangpu. Preliminary works will be advanced for 130 key projects across the city, 49 of which are in Huangpu.

Ninety-one projects in Huangpu will gain construction priority this year among the city's 650 key projects.

It is worth mentioning that 62 projects of the 140 key projects in Huangpu are from strategic emerging and advanced manufacturing industries.

In recent years, Huangpu has committed itself in cultivating clusters of emerging industries such as new-generation information technology, intelligent equipment, biomedicine and health, new energy, and new materials.

Many industrial bellwethers like BeiGene, LG Display, TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology, Guangzhou CanSemi Technology, and InnoCare Pharma have invested in the district. With this investment, the construction of their projects will be accelerated this year. 

Meanwhile, the preliminary works for Burning Rock Biotech's R&D, manufacturing, and marketing headquarters, Daan Gene's in vitro diagnosis innovation industrial park, and Wondfo's biosafety innovation industrial base will be launched.
