CSGKC maps out for 2021-25 educational development

The 14th Five-Year Plan of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) (2021-25) has recently been released with overall plans for high-quality development of local educational undertakings.

According to the five-year plan, CSGKC will bring in four international schools. Guangzhou SingChin Academy, the first overseas cooperative education project of the Singapore Hwa Chong family of schools, will offer education to 3,000 students. The bilingual school of KWG Education Group will feature 60 small-sized classes to provide 2,160 students with 12-year education.

Meanwhile, the CSGKC campus of ISA International School will enroll 1,848 domestic and international students and offer them international senior high school and pre-university courses. The affiliated foreign language school of South China Normal University will provide up to 4,320 students with kindergarten-senior high school education.

The quality of local higher education is also expected to embrace a significant increase with the research institutes of Xidian University, Guangzhou University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. In addition, the National University of Singapore and Singapore International Management Academy will also branch out in CSGKC.
