The Huangpu Internet Association was established on Dec 7 to enhance the communication and cooperation between local internet enterprises as well as the self-discipline of the internet industry.
It is the first district-level internet association to be established in Guangzhou. The organization now has 30 membership units. Zhang Bin, vice president of Guangdong Tengnan Network Information Technology, was selected as the chairman of the association. Chen Bo, deputy general manager of Beijing Nsfocus, and Song Liming, vice president of Guangzhou Yujia Entertainment, were selected as vice chairmen.

Zhang Jiaqi, director of Guangzhou Yujia Entertainment's government affairs department, read out the cyber civilization initiative, which calls for joint efforts of local internet enterprises to build a healthy and clean cyberspace.
The ongoing new technological revolution has given rise to the booming development of the internet industry. As of now, Huangpu is home to more than 300 internet enterprises and nearly 20,000 employees.
