The 14th Five-Year Plan for the Culture and Tourism Development of Guangzhou's Huangpu District (2021-25) was recently released.
The plan proposes a development layout consisting of a cultural corridor along the east bank of the Pearl River, a modern cultural and tourism service network, and five key areas.
Changzhou Island will promote a slow-paced lifestyle for both locals and tourists to enjoy and relax.
More specifically, China-Singapore Knowledge Guangzhou City will offer cultural and tourism public services, Guangzhou Science City will pioneer the innovative development of "culture plus" industries, the Nanhai God Temple will promote the Maritime Silk Road, and Changzhou Island will promote a slow-paced lifestyle. The Guangzhou-Hong Kong Smart Manufacturing Cooperation Zone will be developed into a high-quality area for culture and arts.

Thirty-four key projects will be advanced over the next five years such as the construction of libraries, museums, starred hotels, characteristic B&Bs, nighttime economic belts and rural projects for sightseeing and leisure.
