Construction of 3 metro lines advancing steadily

Work on the three metro lines that run through Guangzhou's Huangpu district has heralded further progress.

Construction of Guangzhou Metro Line 13's second phase from Chaoyang to Yuzhu has been 37 percent completed. Of the 23 metro stations, three have been topped off, 18 are under construction and two are undergoing preliminary preparation. Three of the 23 sections have been completed, 13 are under construction and seven are in their preliminary preparation stages.

Work on the 9.76-kilometer east extension line of Guangzhou Metro Line 5 from Wenchong to Huangpu Passenger Transport Terminal has been 37 percent completed. All of the six metro stations are under construction. Four of the six sections are being built and two are making preparations.

The 22-km Guangzhou Metro Line 7's phase 2 from Higher Education Mega Center South to Shuixi North stations has been 53 percent completed. Two metro stations have been topped off and nine are being built. Ten sections are under construction and one is in its preparation stage.
