Once the second phase of Metro Line 7 comes into operation, it will facilitate travel between Hongshengsha Island and downtown Guangzhou.

Located in the Pearl River estuary, Hongshengsha is near Changzhou Island in the west and Dajisha Island in the east. It forms part of the Guangzhou's Second Central Business District.

The island will focus on the development of yacht and leisure tourism, while integrating innovative finance, maker spaces, cultural tourism and business facilities.
