Guangzhou's Huangpu district will invest 415.56 billion yuan ($63.75 billion) to advance 100 key projects in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
A total of 286.22 billion yuan will be spent on 77 industrial projects in strategic emerging, advanced manufacturing and modern service sectors. Construction of China Nano Valley, a vaccine production base, a Xpeng's smart manufacturing base, the Huangpu Financial CBD, Poly Yuzhu Port and Longping Academician Harbor will be pushed forward.
Meanwhile, the district will invest 107.48 billion yuan in 12 infrastructure projects. A State laboratory for respiratory diseases will be built, and construction of a Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao helicopter pad will be completed by 2023.
An additional 21.8 billion yuan will be spent on 11 livelihood projects. Progress can be seen in a number of educational projects including the Guangzhou research institute of Xidian University, the Affiliated School of South China Normal University, Guangzhou Experimental High School, and Guangzhou SingChin Academy.
In addition, local medical services will be further improved with the construction of the second phase of Lingnan Hospital of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Nanfang Hospital in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City and the first phase of the Women's and Children's Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University.
