Huangpu to foster 'Smile' business brand

Guangzhou's Huangpu district will launch 168 measures in 2021 to advance business environment reform and foster a "Huangpu Smile" business brand, with "Smile" standing for systematization, marketization, internationalization, legalization and efficient-facilitation. 

The concept was proposed at a conference on business environment construction and investment attraction held by the district on March 8.

Amid the new round of business environment reforms, Huangpu will seek to benchmark the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, the China-European Union Bilateral Investment Treaty and other international economic and trade rules. It will strive to reach world-leading levels in indexes such as real estate registration, credit access, and employment market regulation.

In addition, the district will step up its efforts in implementing new policies and offering customized services for enterprises.

As the first business environment experimental zone in Guangdong province, Huangpu has seen its business environment index rank first among national economic zones for two consecutive years, according to the conference.
