Guangzhou Metro Line 7 Phase II sees construction progress

The left-hand tunnel of the Guangzhou Metro Line 7 Phase II section between Shuixi and North Shuixi stations achieved a breakthrough on Feb 28.

The second phase of Guangzhou Metro Line 7 spans 22 kilometers from South High Education Mega Station to North Shuixi Station, with six-wagon vehicles traveling at a maximum speed of 80 km per hour.

En-route there will be 11 stops at Shenjing, Changzhou, Hongshengsha, Yufengwei, Dashadong, Jitang, Jiazhuang, Kefeng Road, Luogang, Shuixi and North Shuixi.

Passengers can also transfer to the Pazhou feeder line of Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Railway, the east extension line of Guangzhou Metro Line 8, as well as Guangzhou Metro Lines 13, 5, 19, 6 and 21.

The project is of great importance in terms of meeting the traffic demands of eastern Guangzhou and boosting the integrated development of Guangzhou and Foshan.
