Guangzhou eyes transport hub role with intercity metro lines

Guangzhou's Metro Lines 25 and 28 will connect Huangpu district with Foshan and Dongguan, according to a Feb 24 press conference detailing the city's plan to become a global transportation hub.

Metro Line 25 will extend to downtown Foshan and connect up with Dongguan's Rail Transit Line 1. Passengers will also be able to transit to the east extension line of Guangzhou's Metro Line 5 at Huangpu Passenger Transport Terminal Station.

Moreover, Guangzhou's Metro Line 28 is set to run through Foshan, Dongguan, and Huizhou. It will connect with Shenzhen's Metro Line 13 at the South Songshan Lake Station in Dongguan.

Guangzhou's Metro Line 25 and Line 28 will connect Huangpu with Foshan and Dongguan.
