Guangdong Academy of Education to boost Huangpu education

A cooperation agreement was signed between Guangzhou's Huangpu district and the Guangdong Academy of Education on Feb 7 for the joint construction of Huangpu Experiment School, which will provide a nine-year compulsory education.

The school will cover 67,159 square meters at the foot of Suyuan Mountain, accessible by Metro Lines 21, 7 and 6 as well as Tram Line 1. It will promote STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education, promote campus football, teach traditional Chinese culture and integrate international concepts.

The plaque unveiling ceremony for the Guangdong Academy of Education's Huangpu Experiment School is held on Feb 7.

In addition, the school will be active in cooperation with renowned domestic and foreign schools in academic discussions, experience and information sharing, language and teacher training, and student exchanges.

Noticeably, the school will pioneer education reforms and conduct educational quality monitoring using Guangdong Academy of Education's resources. Artificial intelligence courses will be introduced into its curriculum, while research will be conducted into a "5G+intelligent education" model.
