First section of N Chuangxin Avenue opens to traffic

The 1.3-kilometer Shilong Avenue-First Tangmian Road section of North Guangxin Avenue opened to traffic on Feb 1, and is set to serve as a significant passage connecting China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) with the Guangzhou-Shantou Highway.

Chuangxin Avenue, 43.6 km long, is a south-north arterial road in Guangzhou's Huangpu district that runs through CSGKC, Guangzhou Science City, Lin'gang Economic Zone and Guangzhou International Bio Island. The section between South Fengle Road and Guangzhou-Shantou Highway has already come into operation.

The North Guangxin Avenue.

The dual eight-lane North Chuangxin Avenue, which stretches from Guangzhou-Shantou Highway, allows for a maximum speed of 60 km per hour. Construction of the section between Junhe village and Guangzhou-Heyuan Expressway is half completed.

Once operational, the project will alleviate the traffic pressure on Jiulong Avenue, currently the sole passage between CSGKC and Guangzhou Science City. Motorists will be able to reach CSGKC from Guangzhou Science City in 15 minutes.
