Guangzhou's Huangpu district will be established into a 5G demonstration zone in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Plaques honoring five 5G local industrial parks were mounted during the 2020 5G Application Innovation Conference & 5G+Intelligent Connection Development Forum held in Guangzhou on Dec 23. The parks were Huangpu Laboratory, China Software CBD, Guangzhou Science City Commercial Plaza, Jianke Square and Creative Independent Park.
As of now, the district is home to nearly 4,000 5G base stations and 100 5G-releated enterprises. It has recognized 63 5G production and service enterprises and 5G industrial carriers since March, and has earmarked a supportive fund of nearly 60 million yuan ($9 million). An all-rounded system of 5G construction, operation and application has basically taken form.
