GDD ranks first in business environment index

Guangzhou Development District (GDD) ranked first in the 2020 Business Environment Index Report of National Economic Development Zones released by the 21st Century Economic Research Institute on Nov 27.

Based on third-party data, the report assessed the top 30 national economic zones in comprehensive development level in 2019 recognized by the Ministry of Commerce. In addition to rating first in the first-grade index, GDD was also among the top three in multiple second-grade indexes, including ecological environment, soft environment, and market capacity.

In addition to GDD, the Kunshan, Nanjing, Guangzhou Nansha, Dalian, Nanjing Jiangning, Xi'an, Changsha, and Qingdao economic development zones, as well as Suzhou Industrial Park also placed in the top 10 in the Business Environment Index.
