A press conference was held by the Ministry of Commerce in Beijing on Nov 11 to interpret the Overall Development Plan of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (2020-2035).
According to the development plan, China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City will become a national knowledge center with international influence to serve the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The project is expected to achieve initial success in 2022 and be completed in 2035. By then, China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City will become an ideal place for both living and working with a world-leading business environment.
Peng Gang, head of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce, Chen Zhiying, deputy executive mayor of Guangzhou, Chen Yuehua, deputy head of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, and Chen Yong, head of Huangpu district attended the press conference to decode the development plan and answer media questions.
