Huangpu releases new policies for talent housing management

The Management Methods for Talent Housing in Huangpu District (2.0 Version) was recently released.

According to the new policies, Huangpu will arrange the housing for Nobel Prize winners, academicians, and overseas high-caliber talents, as well as offer a rent discount of 50 percent for homes not exceeding 120 square meters for their parents or their spouse's parents.

As for prominent talents, the rent of their homes not exceeding 150 sq m will be exempted. Their parents or their spouse's parents will be subsidized half of the rent of their homes not exceeding 100 sq m.

The rent of excellent talents' homes not exceeding 120 sq m will be exempted, while their parents or spouse's parents will be subsidized half of the rent of a home not exceeding 80 sq m.

The rent of elite talents' homes not exceeding 100 sq m will be exempted, while their parents or their spouse's parents will be subsidized half of the rent of a home not exceeding 60 sq m.

Backbone talents will be exempted from half of the rent for a home not exceeding 90 sq m.

Talents with a PhD degree, deputy senior professional title or five-grade national vocational qualification can enjoy a 50 percent discount on the rent of a home not exceeding 90 sq m. Those with a master's degree, intermediate professional title or above or a second-grade national vocational qualification will be granted a 50 percent discount on the rent of a home not exceeding 70 sq m. Those with a bachelor's degree will be given 50 percent off their rent of a home not exceeding 60 sq m.
