Huangpu unveils IP service station for major industries

The service station on intellectual property rights protection assistance and protection for major industries in Guangzhou Development District unveiled its plaque on July 21. 

The services station was hosted by Guangzhou Zhongxin Intellectual Property Service Co Ltd and co-organized by the Guangzhou Semiconductor Industry Association and Guangzhou P&G Co Ltd. The station has also gained guidance from the Guangzhou market supervision bureau and GDD's IP bureau.

The station is the first of its kind set up among all 11 districts in Guangzhou. It will focus on two major industries in GDD, namely integrated circuits and fine chemical engineering. It will offer services like IP information retrieval, legal consulting, and dispute resolution assistance to boost the sound and rapid development of industries, as well as to optimize the local business environment.

Lan Weifeng, director of GDD's IP bureau, said that GDD will make full use of the resource advantages in the district to better serve local companies.
