Nanfang Plus: Huangpu aims to be ecological civilization construction demonstration area by 2025

A document detailing the construction planning from 2019 to 2025 for ecological civilization construction in Guangzhou's Huangpu district was launched on April 17, aiming to turn Huangpu into a national demonstration zone in the area.

The document noted that the construction will cover seven areas and will be divided into two phases, each lasting from 2019 to 2020 and from 2021 to 2025.

During the first phase of the construction, Huangpu will strive to become a demonstration zone for ecological civilization at the provincial level, meeting the national requirements.

Huangpu will continue to carry out its adjustment in its energy structure and transportation structure to improve the local ecological environment quality.

The district will further promote urban and rural integration, as well as increase local residents' awareness in improving ecological civilization.

In the second phase, Huangpu will continue to improve its long-term mechanism for ecological civilization construction and make fundamental changes to the local environment.
