The detailed planning on the urban design and control for the international technological innovation cooperation demonstration zone of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSKGC) has started soliciting public opinions on April 3.
The demonstration zone, covering a total area of 3.46 square kilometers, is located in the central area of CSGKC in Guangzhou's Huangpu district according to the planning.

The area has been designed as an important part of the global digital economy, a technological innovation hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as the industrial demonstration zone for Guangzhou's digital economy and knowledge economy.
The demonstration zone will develop five functions, spanning scientific research and development, finance and commerce, cultural innovation, tourism and leisure, as well as ecological residence.
An overall investment of 50 billion yuan ($7.07 billion) is expected to be attracted to the zone in the next five to 10 years in developing industries, such as biomedicine and big health, smart manufacturing, new materials, as well as financial service based on a cooperation contract signed in 2019.
