China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC), China's first demonstration zone for the comprehensive reform of intellectual property application and protection, has gained great momentum in its overall construction, Guangzhou Daily reported on March 26.

Located in the south of CSGKC, CSGKC Square is expected to finish construction by the end of the first half of 2020. The second phase of the square has finished construction on its foundation, while the third phase of construction will start in the second half of 2020.

The square, covering a total area of 197,000 square meters and costing about 9 billion yuan ($1.27 billion), is built as an international service center for IP business service.

It will also undertake major activities, such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo, as well as various kinds of communication activities between China and Singapore.

A super high-rise office building of 154 meters will be built under grade-A office building standards, offering high-quality office space for local companies managing IP service. One-stop service in IP will also be available for local companies.

Other facilities like talents apartments and business areas will also be built to provide complete services to local companies.
