Guangzhou's Huangpu district has gained great momentum in helping local companies resume operation, reported People's Daily on March 21.
Due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia, which is named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization (WHO), companies in GDD has faced labor shortages as many of their workers from outside Guangdong province could not return due to the epidemic.
Huangpu has arranged special chartered bus and train routes to several areas outside Guangdong province to help workers there return and resume their work in the district.

By March 18, Guangdong province has launched 53 provincial charted trains and 2,415 charted buses to help more than 123,000 workers return to work.
Kingfa Sci and Tech Co Ltd, one of the major companies in Huangpu, has launched an online platform during the epidemic that allows people to have a close look at the modern exhibition areas of the company on their smart phones without having to go out. Details of the products, as well as online guidance are also available on the platform.
This kind of online platform, created by Guangdong Light and Magic Co Ltd, has contributed greatly to companies resuming their operations.
