A series of measures have been released in Guangzhou's Huangpu district to offer more care for local front line medical staff fighting the novel coronavirus pneumonia, which is named by WHO as COVID-19.
The measures cover 14 areas, spanning supplies support, service guarantees, welfare subsidies, performance verification, as well as children's education.
Medical supplies, such as materials, medicine, and ambulances for medical units handling emergency public health issues, will be given priority in distribution.
Facilities and equipment for the epidemic prevention of front line medical staff will be improved to offer a better working environment for them.
Front line medical staff can also receive a daily temporary subsidy of 300 yuan ($43.14) each, while other medical workers participating in the control and prevention of the epidemic can receive a daily temporary subsidy of 200 yuan each.

Advantages in areas like job promotions and title applications will also be given to front line medical workers.
Free health examinations will be offered for these medical workers when the epidemic has ended, as well as health recuperation. Their vacations and paid leave will also be extended.
Special funds will be set up from labor union dues to carry out various activities, offering services like food delivery and domestic services for front line medical workers' families.
Children of front line medical staff can receive priority in applying for places at middle schools, primary schools or kindergartens. These children can also receive a subsidy of up to 2,000 yuan each.
