Flower fair of Huangpu to open on Jan 20

Visitors can enjoy light shows at Jiulong Lake Square, which are mixed with Singapore styles.

The Spring Festival flower fair of Huangpu district will be held from Jan 20 to 24 with its main venue set at Huangpu Sports Center and a sub venue at Jiulong Lake Square in Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (SSGKC).

As the year 2020 marks the 10th founding anniversary of SSGKC, the area will welcome the event for the first time, showcasing Huangpu’s achievements in technological innovation.

The main venue will set up 130 exhibition booths, while the sub venue will set up 100 for various products like flowers, handicrafts, as well as food and beverage. 

A total of 10 companies and vendors from Singapore have been invited to showcase at the sub venue along with nine companies from countries alongside the Belt and Road to present local delicacies and products. 

Visitors can enjoy light shows at Jiulong Lake Square, which are mixed with Singaporean styles.

This year’s event has made an innovation by integrating both online and offline models, launching a WeChat mini program on Jan 13.

Users can make reservation for the goods they want on the mini program and pick them up at the flower fair directly to avoid crowds while shopping.

The mini program also provides useful information including a detailed guide map, nearby transportation tips, as well performance arrangements.
