Chongqing's Tongliang cooperates with GDD in high-tech

Cooperation between the Guangzhou Development District (GDD) and Chongqing's Tongliang district gained impetus with unveiling of a co-built high-tech industrial cooperation zone on Jan 1.

The cooperation zone is expected to become the new demonstration for regional cooperation between East and West China and boost high quality development of the GDD.

Tongliang district enjoys a profound history and beautiful natural scenery. In recent year, it has seen several major projects settle down in the area and the development of major industrial clusters has gained momentum spanning rail transit manufacturing, high-end auto parts, new energy and new materials and intelligent manufacturing as well as agricultural products processing.

Covering a total area of two square kilometers, the launching area of the cooperation zone will encourage high-tech companies from coastal areas such as Guangzhou to develop industries including information technology equipment manufacturing, big health and rail transit.

A total of 12 major projects have signed to locate in the zone. The GDD and Tongliang will keep improving the quality and level of projects to turn the area into a demonstration for Guangdong-Chongqing cooperation.
