Huangpu boosts intelligent connected vehicle development

The Intelligent Connected Vehicle Technology Conference 2019 commenced on Dec 29 at Guangzhou's Huangpu district, gathering more than 200 professional guests as well as about 1,000 audience members.

Being a global feast focusing on the latest and hottest issues in intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs), the conference has organized a main forum and five themed seminars on issues spanning high precision positioning technology and the research and development of C-V2X technology.

The conference pointed out that ICVs and smart transportation applications integrating various advanced information technologies such as automatic driving, 5G, artificial intelligence (AI) and big data have been the international competition focus in automotive technology.

Zhang Jianwei, academician of the Hamburg Academy of Sciences, said that Guangzhou has devoted efforts to build a demonstration zone for AI application and will enjoy an excellent future in transportation application scenario based on the combination of AI and intelligent driving.

The conference is expected to become a boost for Huangpu district to attract more investment in ICVs. Huangpu will make full use of its development advantages in 5G and internet of vehicles (IoVs) to lure more major projects and innovation resources, becoming a national IoV demonstration zone.
