Luogang Xiangxue Park in Guangzhou's Huangpu district is famous for its fragrant snow, owing to its long history of growing green plums.
The 12th Luogang Xiangxue Cultural Tourism Festival opened on Dec 26, running until Jan 1, 2020 at Luogang Xiangxue Park in Guangzhou's Huangpu district.
Luogang Xiangxue Park is famous for its fragrant snow, owing to its long history of growing green plums. When plum blossoms are in full bloom, the flowers are wrapped in silver, and the white petals fall in the wind like snow with endless fragrance, creating Luogang Xiangxue (aromatic snow). In 1963, Luogang Xiangxue was named one of the "Eight Views of Guangzhou."
Various activities, such as performances, creative design exhibitions, and interactive experiences, will be held to meet the diverse needs of visitors.
One highlight of this year's festivals is the creative exhibits themed on the Chinese character of Mei (plum) made by 20 outstanding designers in China using 3D printing technology, showcasing the charm of integrating cultural innovations with technology.
