Huangpu Customs has launched a series of new credit management measures for 175 companies in the area with Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certifications.

Holders of AEO certifications are entitled to benefits akin to obtaining a green permit for international trade, which will empower enterprises' efforts into broadening their business in overseas markets. Currently, China has achieved AEO mutual recognition with 15 economic entities, as well as 42 countries and regions.

Huangpu Customs has set up workshops to assist AEO companies in the district, making tailor-made plans for each company and establishing special files to follow the companies' further improvements. To date, Huangpu Customs has covered 47 enterprises in batches.

"With the increasing awareness of integrity law-abiding of enterprises, the importance of their own credit rating is also increasing," said an official from Huangpu Customs surnamed Wang.

"We've launched a measure to help companies maintain high level credit, reminding AEO companies when small problems occur and helping them to deal with the problems," added Wang.
