Huangpu acts to improve local medical service capacity

Guangzhou's Huangpu district has signed agreements of cooperation on Nov 28 to invest 1.66 billion yuan ($235.36 million) in upgrading the medical service capacity of three hospitals in the district.

Together with the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), the First Affiliated Hospital of SUSY, and the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University (GMU), Huangpu district will carry out renovation and construction projects to three hospitals.

After the completion of the project, the east branch of First Affiliated Hospital of SUSY and the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of GMU will see improvements in areas spanning medical facilities and overall environment. 

The scale of Lingnan Hospital of the Third Affiliated Hospital of SYSU will be further expanded through construction, while supports will also be offered for the hospital to develop its specialties and ease the burden of medical service resources in Luogang area.
