Guangzhou Huangpu district has put 38 new smart machines for handling government affairs into operation recently in densely populated areas around the district, including South China Advanced Materials Innovation Park and Puhui community.
The machines can handle affairs in areas spanning business registration, social security, employment, talent introduction, provident fund, real estate registration, legal aid, and customs certification, supporting the online inquiry of 1,304 items, as well as 824 self-declaration items to meet people's diverse needs.
Through the comprehensive use of the second generation ID card chip identification, as well as facial recognition, the machines are able to ensure security for users while handling affairs.
A voice self-service system has been installed for those who want certifications such as weather proof and unregistered certification for companies, simplifying the process.
With the help of the optical character recognition (OCR) system, the smart machines can recognize words on paper forms and fill in the corresponding blanks according to the content automatically.
A remote video calling service has been added to the new machine so that people can receive guidance from relevant staff members during working hours, improving working efficiency.
