The second conference of the China High-Tech Industrialization Summit, known as the Davos forum in technology, was held Nov 25 in the Guangzhou Science City in Guangzhou Development District (GDD).
The two-day conference, hosted by China High-Tech Industrialization Association (CHIA), held a main forum, nine professional sub-forums, and over 10 keynote lectures and round table conferences.
Hot issues spanning space mutation breeding, space nanotechnology, 5G industrialization and block chain technology were discussed during the event.
This year's conference gathered several experts and academicians who shared the latest technological information.
Xu Guanhua, an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, said the conference will devote efforts to turn itself into a technology forum for bay areas in the world and will continue to carry out international communication and cooperation to promote the industrialization of high-quality technology projects.
"We hope to make full use of this event as a platform for contributing to the progress of technology," said Liang Xiaohong, vice-chairman of CHIA.
In recent years, GDD has given full play to emerging industries, hosting 20,000 technological companies, more than 1,000 research and development institutions and over 2,000 high-tech companies.
It is expected that the conference will attract more high-tech companies to settle in GDD and lure more talents to work or start businesses in the area, beefing up the development of Guangzhou and even the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
