Guangzhou launches PNP cross-border sci-tech development center

Guangzhou's Huangpu district, the Guangzhou Development District(GDD)and Googol Park joined hands with the world's leading scientific research institutions and scientific and technological innovation platform Plug and Play (PNP) to launch a cross-border sci-tech development center on Sept 18.

The center will provide innovative services for the GDD such as introduction of overseas sci-tech firms, cross-border innovation activities, innovation services for large enterprises, acceleration of growth-oriented sci-tech enterprises, offshore incubation and overseas talent attraction, and cooperation with overseas project investment funds.

It will serve as a platform to connect innovative projects and talents globally and help high-tech projects and enterprises to bring in innovative resources and go global.

Li Jiyi, deputy head of Huangpu Science and Technology Bureau, says more high-tech projects will be attracted to the Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone (GHIDZ) with the help of the Guangzhou PNP International Innovation Center, thePNP Cross-border Science and Technology Development Center and broad market prospects.

Fan Qun, President of Googol Park, said he looks forward to more overseas high-end sci-tech projects to settle in Huangpu and GHIDZ through the PNP Cross-border Sci-tech Development Center.

A group of 12 overseas high-tech projects of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things attended the business matchmaking session.

Chinese autonomous driving forerunner WeRide, a high-tech company in the Googol Park, and Melux, a local AI technology developer also broughttheir cutting edge products and services to the event.
