Eighty-seven enterprises that launched their headquarters in the Guangzhou Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone recently received an incentive fund totaling 109 million yuan ($15.23 million), accounting for 20.88 percent of the city's total contribution.
The amount was also a record high, according to the Guangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission.
The commission has been encouraging the companies in the GHIDZ to be approved as municipal headquarter enterprises and apply for preferential policy support, aiming to help them grow bigger and stronger and develop into a cluster of modern companies.
