The official website of the Huangpu district people's government of Guangzhou launched planning of the Value-Park of Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City on Aug 20.
According to the planning, the Value-Park will be a gathering area of leading biomedical enterprises in the world, an international first-class demonstration area of life science R&D cooperation and a clustering of international innovation leaders.
It will cover7.98 square kilometers, 3.97 sq km of planned land for construction and 4.01 sq km of non-construction land. The area will have 30,000 permanent residents and 63,000 employees.
Plans are for overall floorage of 6.33 million sq m. The transportation to the park will be integrated with a number of railways, subways and highways for convenient access.
The Value-Park will be equipped with five cultural rooms, six community service stations, five kindergartens, three primary or middle schools, four residents' fitness facilities and six community health care centers.
Ground was broken this March for Value-Park’s International Biomedical Innovation Service Center, which will become a comprehensive park integrating biomedical academic exchange, incubation, office space and commercial support.
The Guangzhou Development District(GDD) will intensify the role of Knowledge City as a key innovation carrier of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, speeding up construction of five Value-Parks of biomedicine, integrated circuits, intelligent manufacturing, new generation information technology, new energy and new materials.
In addition, Huangpu district and GDD are intent on building a world-class advanced manufacturing cluster, focusing on the development of strategic emerging industries such as biomedicine. The two districts are sparing no effort in constructing a life science cooperation area in the Greater Bay Area and the world's top biomedical research and development center.
Huangpu district and Guangzhou Development District have Guangzhou Knowledge City, Guangzhou Science City and Guangzhou International Biological Island, which are all attractive to global biomedical research centers, technological platforms, industrial bases and high-end talents.
