Huangpu demonstrates its scientific innovations

The Science Square Exhibition Hall, which completed construction at the end of January, demonstrates the history, culture, industrial development and achievement of the scientific innovations of Huangpu, the Guangzhou Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone and Guangzhou Development District.

Visitors to the hall are able to interact with the high-tech facilities in a specially-planned area. Some high-tech companies have brought to the hall their cutting-edge products in the new generation of information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, low-carbon, industrial internet and block chains.

An intelligent recognition system can be used in public transportation, entry and exit procedures and mobile payment by scanning the blood-vessels of the palm. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

An autonomous aerial passenger vehicle developed by Chinese drone manufacturer Ehang in Guangzhou can take off and land in urban area at any time. A full charge can support a 25-minute flight of up to 1,000 meters altitude. The height for testing is around 200 to 500 meters. It has been tested 200 times with passenger in all-weather conditions since 2016. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The facility was developed by Guangzhou Jet Bio-Filtration Co, a provider of disposable plastic consumables and overall solutions for biological laboratories and a leading producer in the high-end consumables industry. Thanks to the company's independent research and development, the foreign monopoly was broken and the prices of similar imported products dropped by about 40 percent on average. 

A patrol robot developed by the Chinese Internet of Things provider Gosuncn Technology Group Co can be used in grand meetings and Guangzhou Customs and can be applied in production. It can capture images and send them to a backstage data center. The robot can avoid obstacles and charge automatically. It also resists thunder and lightning. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
