Yangcheng Evening News: China, South Korea enterprises share stories on friendly exchange

A story sharing event on China-Republic of Korea friendship was held in Seoul on June 10. It was organized by the Guangzhou municipal government from Guangdong province in China. People from the two countries shared touching stories of friendly exchanges at the event.

As a leading brand among the many world renowned South Korean enterprises, LG started to build an 8.5 generation OLED panel production line in Guangzhou last year, the city's third one, said the vice-president of LG Display's government media relations.

He also explained that Guangzhou has an excellent business environment, rich human resources, convenient logistics and transportation infrastructure, and also has a broad consumer market and high acceptance of new technologies as its soft power.

Han Gang, vice president of the new World Fortune 500 Cedar Holdings and CEO of Cedar Holdings' Gongtongyun Supply Chain Group in the bulk commodity industry, described the efforts Chinese and South Korean enterprises have made in building an open world economy at a time when trade protectionism has risen, in his talk with the vice president of SKC Group, the old World Fortune 500 company in South Korea.

In March this year, China's iFly Tek in voice technology joined hands with South Korean voice tycoon Hancom and founded a joint venture company in South Korea. They will launch their upgraded version of an interpretation machine together in South Korea.

At the event, the world's first multilingual virtual anchor from iFly Tek said hello to the audience in Chinese, English and Korean.

China and South Korea have been working towards a partnership of mutual development since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. 

A similar story sharing event was held in Osaka, Japan on June 12.
