Guangzhou Haige Communications Group released two high-precision chips that are independently developed for full-frequency-point satellite navigation at the 10th China Satellite Navigation Conference that opened in Beijing on May 22.
The two new chips, the "Dolphin I" baseband chip, the first to achieve100Hz location update rate, and the "Beidou III" radio frequency (RF) chip from the RX37 series, were the highlight of the event.
The combination of the two chips will have great application prospects in the future, providing better solutions for much needed precise location service in the area of mobile Internet, Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence equipment such as auto unmanned aerial vehicle and robots. The combo is also the first support for Beidou III applications in China with a combination of "baseband + RF" chips.
At present, common baseband chips on the market generally have a 10-20Hz location update rate. For mobile phone applications, 1Hz is enough to meet daily positioning needs.
However, the "Dolphin I" is the first domestic high-precision baseband chip with a 100 Hz positioning update rate, which could do position sensing for fast moving objects with an accuracy up to one centimeter; while the "Beidou III" chip has realized all navigation systems in the world within one single chip, that is, one chip can satisfy almost all satellite navigation and global short message services application scenarios, said Liu Yan, general manager of Runxin Information Technology Company and chief executive of Changsha Technology Research Institute of Beidou Industry Safety.
According to the organizers, the domestic Beidou chip has stepped into a new era of 28 nanometers and has realized large-scale application, with sales of more than 80 million pieces. The overall performance of the new chips applied to Beidou III new signal system has reached or even surpassed similar products around the world.
Haige Company from Guangdong province also launched the first large three-dimensional prevention and control platform in China on the same day. It's like a super intelligent brain.
As long as someone is perceived by the system, the super brain can recognize the person's behavior, posture, shape and other features, and realize 3D display on the big screen, achieving high-precision locating, tracing and stereo prevention and control for both indoor and outdoor security.
In addition, with the help of such a super intelligent brain, 5G and AR technologies, real-time 3D location recognition in urban underground pipelines will be realized in the future.
The three-dimensional prevention and control platform will settle in Guangzhou International Biotech Island as the first demonstration project based on Beidou's high-precision technology, said Li Huan, deputy general manager of Haige.
Li added that the platform will help develop Biotech Island into a landmark demonstration area of smart city construction and application of the Beidou system in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
