Yangcheng Evening News: Guangzhou Science City wins national honor

Guangzhou Science City was recently included in the list of national-level innovation and entrepreneurship bases.

The Science City Park of Guangzhou High-tech Industry Development Zone was listed by the State Council as an innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration base on May 10. The park has made great achievements in implementing innovation and entrepreneurship policies, building a platform for the support and development of innovation and entrepreneurship, and upgrading innovation and entrepreneurship.

In 2019, the National Development and Reform Commission will allocate funds from the budget of the central government to promote construction of the innovation and entrepreneurship supporting platform in Science City.

For the eligible innovation and entrepreneurship projects in the region, support will be given from the National Venture Capital Guidance Fund for Emerging Industries, the National Strategic Emerging Industry Development Fund, and the National Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development Fund.

Innovation and entrepreneurial achievements in the region will be displayed at the main venue of Mass Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week.

Support will be given to major events such as "Innovation China" which promote good innovation and entrepreneurship practices.
