Nanfang Daily: Huangpu 2019 project plan comes out

The Guangzhou High-tech Zone, Development Zone and Huangpu District 2019 Key Construction Project Plan came out recently.

According to the plan,there are 150 key construction projects in the district, with an annual planned investment of 56.1 billion yuan ($8.4 billion) in 2019, an increase of 26 percent over the previous year.

The projects can be divided into 42 infrastructure projects with an annual planned investment of 5.36 billion yuan, 68 major industrial projects with 37.19 billion yuan, 24 social and livelihood projects with 4 billion yuan, and 16 urban renewal projects with 9.55 billion yuan.

The project plan is an important measure for Guangzhou High-tech Zone, Development Zone and Huangpu district to pursue high-quality development. According to the overall plan of the Huangpu Party Congress earlier this year, the district will make great efforts in realizing new vitality out of the old city, innovation and people's livelihood.

It contains 14 cultural and educational projects. Most of the projects mention a to-be-increased degree and to-be-expanded enrollment scale. At the same time, the supporting facilities for teaching are being further improved. 

Among the six medical and health projects, there are not only specialized hospitals, such as Guangzhou Concord Cancer Hospital, but also general hospitals, such as Nanfang Hospital of Knowledge City.

These medical projects hope to expand the number of beds, optimize medical facilities and jointly help to form the basic medical and health service circle of 15 minutes in urban communities and 30 minutes in rural areas.
