According to a conference on S&T innovation and business held on Feb 22, Huangpu district continues to welcome superior resources and talent innovation and entrepreneurship.
Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, Guangzhou Science City, Huangpu Port and Guangzhou International Bio Island, all destinations for willing talents, are the four major areas Huangpu has dedicated years to building.
Huangpu is concentrating on building youth homes, talent apartments and international talent communities to address concerns about talent relocation.
From 2015 to 2016, Huangpu increased its permanent population by 1,841,000, the largest increase in population among the 11 districts of Guangzhou from 2015 to 2016. In 2018, the registered population of Huangpu increased by 382,000 from that of 2017 to rank third in the whole city.
In 2018, Guangzhou High-tech Zone ranked among the country's top 10 world-class science and technology parks. With the output value of high-tech products exceeding 400 billion yuan, it gathered more than 560 high-level talents of all walks of life.
At present, 100 incubators of science and technology enterprises have been built in the district, with a total incubation area of nearly five million square meters. In 2019, it will further accelerate the expansion and upgrading of incubators and accelerator clusters, actively build professional incubators serving the new generation of strategic emerging industries such as information technology, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, new energy and new materials, and build an international vertical incubation platform represented by the
