PNP shows new ways forward

The 2019 Spring Enterprise Innovation Forum was held in Guangzhou Googol Park on Jan 22. At the forum, the Plug and Play (PNP) Tech Center introduced several cases between current international cooperating parties as a learning experience for attending enterprises.

At present, three of the seven main buildings of Googol Park have been completed, and it is expected that all of them will be completed and put into trial operation this year.

Headquartered in Silicon Valley, PNP is a world-renowned technology entrepreneurship accelerator. Since 1998, it has invested and incubated more than 6,000 start-ups. It has acquired 300 of them after entering China in 2015.

PNP will build an open innovation platform for large enterprises, an international cross-border incubation platform, and the Unicorn Accelerator Program to help Googol Park and Huangpu district to connect with global scientific and technological resources and attract global high-quality innovation projects to Guangzhou.

At the forum, PNP introduced several open innovation development paths of current international enterprises. Large enterprises used to set up innovative R&D centers internally to solve existing problems, which required a lot of manpower and money. That’s where the innovation platform takes over and makes a difference.

At present, numbers of start-ups are able to cooperate with large enterprises through the platform. At the forum PNP staff members showed all kinds of cooperation possibilities by presenting smart supply chain cases drawn from the IOT industry.
