New-generation information technology

1. China Unicom (Guangdong) Industrial Internet Project

China Unicom (Guangdong) Industrial Internet Corporation was incorporated as an independent legal entity in SSGKC, with registered capital of 100 million yuan. China Unicom Group will introduce Internet-related business in an effort to build a mobile Internet innovation base integrating new technologies, new industries, new business R&D, production, incubation, and operations.

2. South Base of China Telecom Innovation Incubation Park

The South Base of China Telecom Innovation Incubation Park is both a key project of the new IT industry of SSGKC and a crucial part of China Telecom Group's innovation system, with a total investment of about 3 billion yuan and an operating income of about 10 billion yuan. It will be home to the Guangdong Research Institute, one of the three major research institutes of China Telecom, to aim at telecommunications technology research and development, innovation incubation and cloud computing, based on R&D talents, innovative products, and other superior resources.

3. China Mobile (Guangzhou) Data Center

With a total investment of about 1 billion yuan and operating income of about 4 billion yuan, China Mobile Guangzhou Data Center is dedicated to building an R&D platform for 4G, cloud computing and IoT technologies. It is a highly integrated IT R&D cooperation platform building talents pool for industrial development.

4. GDS Cloud Computing Center Project

A South China headquarters and big data R&D center is planned for SSGKC to include a cloud industry research institute and a unified clearing center for online payments. The total investment of the project is 2.2 billion yuan and is expected to reach an output value of 2.2 billion yuan.

5. Alibaba Cloud Industrial Internet Headquarters

Relying on large-scale backbone enterprises and industrial clusters in SSGKC, Alibaba Cloud will integrate the ET Industrial Brain with the manufacturing industry to create demonstration projects of the Industrial Internet. It has established Guangzhou Alibaba Cloud Computing Application Technology Co., Ltd. as the operator with a registered capital of 100 million yuan.

6. Dr. Peng - Keli New Energy South China Headquarters

Dr. Peng Telecom & Media, a domestic listed company,  with a total investment of 1 billion yuan and an operating revenue of  1 billion yuan, is cooperating with Keli New Energy to build a comprehensive park integrating technology R&D and production of IDC center operations and an equipment-related data center, thus generating a complete upstream & downstream industrial data center chain.

7. CanSemi's 12-inch Chip Manufacturing Project

Founded in GDD in December 2017, Guangzhou CanSemi Semiconductor Technology Inc. is the first chip factory with a production line for 12 inch chips in Guangzhou. It has a total investment of 7 billion yuan, and a production capacity of 40,000 pieces/month. The eye-catching 12-inch chips are listed as a key project of Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City. Mass production is planned for the end of 2019, mainly for use in analog chip products such as microcontrollers, power management and power discrete equipment. The chips can satisfy innovative application needs of the IoT, automotive electronics, AI, and 5G among others, filling the "chip-deficient" gap in Guangdong and Guangzhou, and driving the semiconductor upstream & downstream industrial chain to shape a brand-new 100-billion yuan industrial cluster.
