2026 Tour of Guangxi to kick off with 6 stages across 5 cities
The 2026 Tour of Guangxi road cycling race will be held from Oct 13 to 18 in Guangxi, with teams arriving in Nanning from Oct 10 and gathering in Chongzuo for the opening stage.
The race, authorized by the International Cycling Union and hosted by the Chinese Cycling Association and the Guangxi government, is the world's highest-level road cycling event. This year's edition features 6 stages across Chongzuo, Baise, Hechi, Laibin and Nanning, covering a total of 1,068.6 kilometers. The race starts in Chongzuo and finishes at the Mashan Nongla scenic area in Nanning.
The route has been significantly adjusted this year, heading west into the mountains to connect Guangxi'smost representative natural landscapes and ethnic cultures, including karst scenery, border areas and the hometown of longevity. The new route combines flat sprints, rolling hills and classic climbs, raising the level of competition.
Riders and coaches said they were impressed by the organization, enthusiastic crowds and scenery of previous editions, and looked forward to enjoying the race and experiencing Guangxi.
A fan meeting will be held on Oct 12 at Taiping Ancient City scenic area in Chongzuo, where riders will take part in power challenges, slow-riding contests and face-to-face interactions. The first stage, the Chongzuo city stage, starts at 10:30 am on Oct 13, with riders covering 149.2 kilometers before returning to the starting point for the final sprint.
