3 Hechi projects earn spots at China-ASEAN Expo

Hechi landed three projects on the list of investment scenarios for Guangxi's ocean-oriented economy, unveiled during the signing ceremony of the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning.

A total of 254 scenarios were unveiled globally under the initiative to boost industrial upgrading, cross‑border supply chains and AI-empowered ocean-related growth.

Two entries have been added to the opportunity list, calling for the need for external technology partnerships. One entry targets AI-driven smart mining for safer underground operations and higher mineral recovery. Another seeks breakthroughs in intelligent sorting for tin, antimony and indium, critical metals for cross-border industrial collaboration.

The third, a capacity-demonstration project run by a local vocational college, delivers AI-integrated medical and elderly care services, as well as digital talent training, benefiting healthcare practitioners and senior residents.

These cases demonstrate how inland regions leverage innovation to participate in China-ASEAN economic flows, responding to practical industrial and livelihood-related demands.
