Fenlong Festival builds all-day ethnic cultural tourism consumption scenario

The 2026 Fenlong Festival of Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county opened at Nuo Mask Square on June 28.

Adopting an integrated model of festivals, competitions, tourism and consumption, the festival featured traditional blessing rituals, day-and-night Nuo God parades, folk feasts, interactive activities and night Village BA.

The 2.9-kilometer daytime river parade gathered ethnic formations, while lit night parades charmed visitors. Photo exhibitions, farming games and local product fairs were also held, followed by regional Village BA matches.

Huanjiang will tap Maonan intangible cultural heritage, improve the industrial chains for performances, study tours, and cultural creations, integrate world natural heritage scenery with folk culture, and boost rural revitalization through cultural tourism.
