A heartfelt thank-you letter from the Center of International Cooperation Service, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has recognized Shi Zhongcheng's outstanding work in providing livestock aid to Samoa.

Shi, a senior agritech researcher and head of Yizhou district's animal husbandry station in Hechi, was commended for building solid cooperation bridges between China and foreign countries with a strong sense of professionalism and dedication.

In September 2025, Shi set off for Samoa after multiple transfers across four cities, carrying technical documents and professional equipment. The care from colleagues and officials fueled his mission, and he refined his aid plan during the long flight despite language and luggage challenges.

With 27 years of experience in animal husbandry, Shi has built a solid professional foundation. A member of the Communist Party of China, he once served as a village Party secretary, and has led provincial key projects, secured three national patents, and won the National Harvest Award for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery.

Upon arrival, Shi spent a week surveying local farms to address obvious pain points like feed storage and disease control under tropical climates. He provided hands-on training in standardized pig breeding and artificial insemination, and designed practical, scalable industry development plans tailored to local needs.

Shi's efforts embody the spirit of South-South cooperation, showcasing the tangible results of China's grassroots agricultural aid. His story inspires more talents to engage in international cooperation, contributing to rural vitalization and agricultural development.
