On June 10, Donglan county in Hechi hosted the 2024 Bachou Agricultural Culture Tourism Event in Banjia fishing village. Local Zhuang people, along with those from Tian'e and Nandan counties, participated in the customs of fetching "auspicious water," playing bronze drums, racing bamboo rafts, and singing mountain songs to celebrate the traditional Dragon Boat Festival.

The customs of worshipping the River God and young girls fetching water in Banjia village have been passed down for many years. Local villagers worship the River God every year during the Dragon Boat Festival, praying for the River God's blessings.

With the continuous development of the economy and society, the River God worship activities have evolved to include economic, cultural, and entertainment functions, transforming into village tourism activities such as bamboo raft racing and mountain songs.

Singing mountain songs is also an essential part of the customs of the Dragon Boat Festival in Banjia. Nearly a hundred Zhuang villagers and tourists gathered at the Fisherman's Wharf stage, singing Zhuang mountain songs in the Zhuang language.
