The first session of the 13th Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional People's Congress concluded in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Jan 31.
A total of 684 representatives attended the meeting hosted by Peng Qinghua, Party chief of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
The conference passed the resolutions put forward in the government work report and submitted by the Higher People's Court and Higher People's Procuratorate of the autonomous region.
After analysing budget performance in 2017 and implementation of the plans for national economic and social development, an improved blueprint has been made for 2018.
Shouldering the great trust of people from all ethnic groups, representatives have earnestly performed their duties to voice the worries and wishes for people, which will take Guangxi's development to a new level, according to Peng.
Hechi Party Secretary He Xinxing and Mayor Tang Yunshu led the Hechi delegation and submitted 59 proposals covering areas such as poverty alleviation, ecological protection and infrastructure construction, in order to improve the social development and people's lives.
