Leiqiong Global Geopark of China took part in the 6th Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium, which was held at Rinjani-Lombok Global Geopark of Indonesia and attracted more than 600 representatives from 30 countries.

The territory of Leiqiong Global Geopark spans Leizhou Peninsula, Zhanjiang, Guangdong province and Haikou, Hainan province. It ranges from north to south, passing through Zhanjiang via Leizhou and Xuwen, crossing the Qiongzhou Strait to Haikou.

The representatives of Leiqiong Global Geopark gave a keynote speech at the symposium, showcasing the achievements of the park's construction and development, as well as promoting the unique geological and geomorphological landscape, human history, ecological environment, characteristic commodities, and special products of the park to further expand Leiqiong Global Geopark's visibility and international influence.

The representatives also shared the practices and philosophy of Leiqiong Global Geopark in science education and sustainable development with the other geoparks. They also carried out exchange activities with participating experts and other parks to further broaden horizons and expand channels by sharing and learning from their experiences, thus better promoting the development of Leiqiong Global Geopark.
